Submission Guidelines Summary
Format Your Manuscript
Submit in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format. Use standard font (Times New Roman, Garamond, or similar) at 12pt. Double-spaced with 1-inch margins. Include author name, manuscript title, word count, and date on the title page.
Prepare a Query Letter
Include a one-page query letter with your submission. Introduce yourself, describe your manuscript in 100-150 words, mention your publishing history (if any), and explain why your work fits with Aurelius Press. Keep it professional and compelling.
Include Sample Chapters
Provide the first 50 pages of your manuscript along with your query letter. If you're submitting poetry, include 20-30 representative poems. For anthologies, include table of contents and sample selections.
No Simultaneous Submissions
We ask that you don't submit your manuscript to other publishers simultaneously. We understand the publishing process is lengthy, so we review submissions within 8-12 weeks and provide detailed feedback even on rejections.

We're Genre Flexible
We publish literary fiction, poetry, memoir, history, philosophy, essays, and narrative non-fiction. We are not interested in commercial fiction, self-help, or business books unless they demonstrate exceptional literary merit.
