Submission Guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional literary merit and original voice
- Thoughtful exploration of human experience
- Careful attention to craft and prose quality
- Authentic emotional resonance
- Works that challenge and illuminate
Format Requirements
- Manuscript in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format
- Double-spaced with 1-inch margins
- 12-point font (Times New Roman, Garamond, or similar)
- Include author name, manuscript title, and word count on title page
- First 50 pages (or full manuscript if under 50 pages)
Response Timeline
- Initial review: 8-12 weeks
- Accepted manuscripts receive editorial letter and contract terms
- Rejected submissions: limited feedback due to volume
- Exclusive submission period (no simultaneous submissions)
Rights & Representation
- We welcome submissions from unrepresented authors
- Authors represented by literary agents are welcome
- We require first North American and electronic rights
- Subsidiary rights negotiated on a case-by-case basis
